Assessing the risk of heavy metals contamination in milk from Pakistan

Milk is an essential component of human food, and natural source many important elements. Besides elements it also became a toxic metals due to heavy environmental pollution. In order assess the (calcium) (cadmium lead) in milk, sixty different fresh milk samples were analyzed by using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). Accuracy precession checked external standard addition method. Calcium was found all with highest concentration (24µg/L) camel milk. Lead mean level 3.14µg/L packed sample 6.7µg/L. Cadmium detected 33% total range (1.1-3.1µg/L). Results this study will be helpful setting standards one most consumed commodities Pakistan.
